Physical Description[]
Boar stand at about 1' tall, and generally resemble their real-world examples. Boar have not been show to have tusks, but this may be due to the fact that no males have been shown in the comic. They are brown with long snouts and round bodies, though having larger legs than pigs.
Habitat and Behavior[]
Wild boar can be found in the forests of Amaranth. They will exhibit aggression when cornered. For most of the year females roam in sounders while males stake out a more-or-less solitary life. Males are only tolerated by females when the latter are ready to mate, otherwise sows will attack males on sight and, if necessary (IE: if the male cannot escape), kill them. Once captured, boar seem easily habituated to drow presence, but females remain aggressive toward males of their species.
Relationship with the Tei'kaliath, Drow and Others[]

As stated, wild boar will flee from drow, but once captured are easily acclimated to drow presence. The Tei'kaliaths have begun to domesticate them into livestock animals, primarily for meat and leather (and apparently pets).
Notable Specimens[]
Though various captured boar have been named (particularly Boris, our first male boar casualty), none have been featured in the comic and are not deemed cannon.
